There are dangerous, razor-like fish bones in the Wellness pet food that could cut your pet’s esophagus or even your finger! Wellness VP Greg Kean stated that he is “not concerned.” He admitted that he gives his dog whole eggs, that’s not just the whites and the yolk, but the WHOLE EGG IN THE SHELL!!! TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO WATCH THIS VIDEO.

So who made this? video, a competitor company ?
INNOVA makes some wonderful dog? and cat food….i highly recommended
Stupid Marketing !?
@jessietoonen LOL where have you been? Other dog owners ARE complaining about this! It’s a FACT. Wellness admitted? it!!
@shadowdog500 Actually this is true. I emailed and called Wellness and they told? me that the pieces of bone are too small to cause any harm to a dog. I couldn’t believe they said that. Any cooked bones are very very dangerous. Even this small, it can cause tears in the intestines and bleeding.
@KWAnnie11
I also have had problems with bugs in my wellness food. No problems with the cats food but the last 2 bags of super5mix for seniors have had a moth like bug flying out of? the bag. I am now searching for a new brand. I don’t trust wellness anymore.
Try Blue Buffalo Thats what I? changed to
I have been feeding my dog wellness super5 mix for seniors with chicken and recently purchases a bag that was contaminated with flies. When my husband returned the bag, the next bag was also contaminated. The store clerk said “they have been having problems”. Has anyone? else encountered this recently? I think I will be searching for a new brand!
If you have fed this dog food to your pet you are very lucky that your dog is not hurt. This food was recommended to me and I used some of it with no problem and no bones, however, any of the food that has fish of any? kind seems to have these sharp bones, including the treats. These razor sharp bones can cut the throat, the stomach and even the intestines as they pass through. The bones are not going to digest quickly like the totally ground up bone meal will. Protect your pet! Check the food.
I also was wondering the same thing when I first saw this video a couple weeks ago, but we bought my new puppy the wellness treats because it was highly recommended. And we to have noticed pieces of thin bone about the length of the treat in the middle of the treat, and this morning I found one larger that was sticking out of the treat. As of right now I remove the bone and feed her the treat. But this is a good thing to know about and watch out for just to be safe. I won’t? buy this again.
Thank you for sharing this… we just bought this brand? and found these bones mixed in with her treats… we bought the Just for Puppy Treats by Wellness. And for the comment below… maybe the dog would digest all the bone maybe they wouldn’t, but until the dogs body does digest it what do you think the bones are doing to the dogs insides?????? How long does it take for them to digest the bones???? You really should think before you speak!!!!!
The dogs stomach will digest all the bone no problem. I don’t know what you’re fussing about.?
We have NEVER had any problems? with wellness it’s actually a very good food and they use no by product crap that most pet foods use it’s all holistic this looks like propaganda to me so I don’t believe it!
I have beenfeeding my Dog Wellness Sweeet POt and Fish for 11 years now. Never? had I a problem with their food or had I ever found anything out of the ordinary.
How can? anyone trust this video? Video’s are to easy to be edited to make it seem like the truth. Plus, other dog owners would be complaining about this product. I agree with boomboxlove8 and weedfroggie!
hey its pedigree? dog food! lolz
u are good pets? owner~~~support you~~
Why try to take it off the store shelves? Just stop buying it yourself. I tried the brand you suggest and it made both my dogs sick. They threw up and had the runs for days. The vet? told me to stop feeding it to them and go back to the Wellness (the only food they can keep down).
I? have been feeding my dogs Wellness for many years and have NEVER seen any type of bones in the food ever. My dogs won’t eat anything but the Wellness. I’m hoping it never gets taken off the shelves because my dogs would more then likely die without it.
I can’t find any where on the package……..where…….exactly this food is actually made………Can someone help ??
@calbileo You are in denial. You don’y want to believe that you feed that? to your beloved pet. I am not an employee for ANY dog food company, but I strongly recommend BLUE. It is healthy and holistic, and all of the ingredients are human grade. Very healthy and gave my pets energy that they never had before. It contains fruits and veggies and a protein source of your choice (they have a lot to choose from), but I personally feed longevity. I have inspected the food and there are no whits specs.
I? feed BLUE.

Here is the response I received from Mr. Kean, the vice president of Research? and Development: We wanted to address your question about a YouTube video being circulated in which a consumer alleges that their bag of Wellness Fish and Sweet Potato Dry Dog food contains harmful fish bones. This consumer approached us and told us that the video was “available for purchase”. When we refused, he posted the video on YouTube.
